The wet pan mill, also known as wet disc mill or gold pan mill, is a classic wet grinding equipment used in mineral processing, especially for gold ore, rock gold, alluvial gold and tailings regrinding. It is widely used in ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals and non-metallic minerals wet grinding. Compared with ball mills, it has the advantages of small footprint, low cost, easy installation and low power consumption.
The motor drives the reducer, which drives the grinding rollers to rotate around the grinding disc. Materials are fed into the mill and undergo continuous extrusion, kneading, shearing and grinding between rollers and disc. Water is added during grinding to form slurry; fine particles are discharged with water, while coarse particles stay for regrinding, achieving uniform fine grinding (100–150 mesh).
